When does the average thief break into a home for cash, guns or drugs? Not in the dark of night like it was in the good old days. The typical time for home invasion across the U.S. is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when most people are away at work, at school, and on errands.
The stall time is pretty fast, too—less than 10 minutes on average for thieves to be in and out. Some have cased their targets so well they know how many minutes they have—even with alarms and security auto-dialers sending out the alert.
Confronting a Liberty safe, a would-be thief faces the old joke: “Where does an 800-pound gorilla sleep?” Answer: “Any place he wants.”
Liberty Safe does not put a medical warning sticker on its safes, a caution to help thieves avoid painful hernias. It’s one of those “could I be any dumber?” issues that frequently erupt in the worst possible ways.
Moving any one of our “800 pound gorillas” is an exercise in futility (The Man from Liberty is just speaking metaphorically here—they are neither 800 pounds nor gorillas, although he tried to move one and it might as well have been bolted to the floor (turns out it WAS)).
That’s why Liberty’s safe installers come to you fully prepared to use Newton’s laws of physics, Archimedes principles of leverage, and Liberty’s requirements of safety to install or reinstall your Liberty safe.
Whether you want your safe upstairs, downstairs, or on the main floor, Liberty dealers offer the best in custom in-home delivery, service and installation. They don’t send the “temp guys” for this job. Professionals who are certified bring floor coverings and the necessary equipment to safely put your investment right where you want it. And if you move, don’t move it yourself—call, and your dealer will be happy to help—because quality safes don’t sleep-walk at night, they don’t go for strolls in the afternoon—they stay exactly where you put them.
Liberty Safe—makers of the best-built safes on the planet.
The dealer that I contacted – A.S.A.P, Safes in Dania Beach, Florida did not offer custom delivery with installation in my home. They were going to off load at the end of my long driveway.
Is there a dealer in Texas that will custom deliver?
Dear Leslie,
This is Jamey Skousen, marketing director at Liberty Safe. Did you already order a safe from ASAP Safes in Florida? If not, I would suggest going to our corporate website and type in your zip code in the dealer finder to find a local dealer that can deliver your safe. If yes, you would either need to cancel the order and go to our website and order locally, or call one of our local dealers who can then install the safe inside your home. Let me know where you’re at.
Thanks! Jamey
If I purchase a gun safe, where should I place the safe? Can you put the safe in cold or hot tempature like a gargage?
Hi Ron,
I got your message the other day. Thank you for writing!
As for putting a Liberty safe in the garage where it can get very hot and cold, we have not had any functional failures of the safes mechanical mechanism and locking bolt system during extreme cold or hot weather conditions. S&G has done some additional testing of electronic locks in cold weather and found no disruptions in function, either.
Is that the information you were looking for? If not, please write back.
All the best to you and yours during this great time of year!
–Paul
