A step up in features, capacity, and fire rating compared to the Centurion line, Liberty’s Freedom 36 might be the “goldilocks” choice for a first (or second) gun safe… not too large that it’s a bear to install or move, and not too small to secure a respectably large firearm collection… all at an excellent price. The Freedom 36 has room for 36 long guns and boasts level 2 security, a 14-gauge steel body, and 6 hardened, 3/16” steel military-style locking bars. Featuring a one-piece drill- and pry-resistant hardened door plate and our proven relocking mechanism that locks the safe down in the event of attempted brute force entry, the Freedom 36 also comes with the upgraded, TopLit SecuRam electronic lock, a polished chrome handle, and a factory-installed door panel for even more interior storage. Freedom safes come with gray fabric interiors and a tough, textured black exterior surface finish that makes them resistant to fingerprints, dust, and scratches.

Along with the increased security features of the Freedom line, you also get a boost in fire protection with a full 40-minute fire rating at 1200°, including the Palusol heat-activated expanding door seal to help lock out heat and water. For a “just-right-sized” entry-level safe with the features of a more expensive line, it’s hard to beat Liberty’s Freedom 36.
