Door Adjustment

Occasionally, due to shipping or extended use, the door may loosen in its front to back positioning. The door should fit snugly, but allow the handle to turn without significant resistance. The door tightness (i.e. tightness of locking bolts against the frame edge) can be adjusted as follows:

Open the safe and locate the adjustment screws (typically two screws) on the inside of the safe, on the left side of the door opening.
Use a 3/16" hex wrench and turn the screws clockwise to tighten the door, or counterclockwise to loosen the door. Adjust the screws one-quarter turn at a time until the proper door fit is achieved.
