Kristy Lee Cook is one of those All-American girls you can't help but feel like you already know. Her open, honest face has been a regular on TV since she competed and placed seventh on American Idol in 2008. Since then, she's toured, hit Billboard's country music charts, and hosted the ultimate sportsman's show, The Most Wanted List.
Before she hit the stage, however, Kristy Lee had been performing in a different arena: the rodeo. As a championship barrel racer, she's always come back to her roots of competing and training. Today, she trains and rides her horse Ammo and continues her legacy of hard work and achieving goals.
Adventure Ahead
For all that she's accomplished, the best was yet to come for Kristy Lee Cook. While she was originally apprehensive upon finding out she was pregnant, her newborn son Tillman soon reminded her that the most worthwhile adventures are the ones that scare you the most. "If you always do what you've always done," she muses, "you'll always get what you would have gotten."
It's safe to say Kristy Lee Cook has earned her own American Dream. She still hosts her TV show; she still rides almost every day. And, while she pushes herself as a competitor and challenges herself in her career, it's her role as a mother that makes her feel complete-and that's a feeling worth protecting.
