The Heart of Liberty Safe: Kinross Family

It’s not uncommon for friends or family members to wind up working at the same company. What is uncommon, though, is for a family of five to work at the same company and enjoy a business-family relationship that's positive and productive. But that happens to be what we have here at Liberty Safe with the Kinross family.

When Safes Are Made Together, a Family Gets Paid Together

The Kinross family consists of a father, a mother, a daughter, a son, and the son’s fiancé, and they all work for Liberty Safe. Kevin Kinross, the father, was the first to be hired, and has worked with us as a material handler for over a year. His son, Hunter, joined the company a few months later and works as a door hanger in our factory.

After that, it was Tammy, Kevin’s wife, who joined the team installing door panels. The two most recent family members to start working here are Kandy Brittain (Kevin and Tammy’s daughter), and Kelsey Ellett (Hunter’s fiancé). Kandy is a forklift operator and Kelsey installs locks.

At Liberty Safe, we know that our employees are the heart and soul of the company. And when those employees believe in hard work and a product they can be proud of, it’s easy to see why we’re America’s #1 safe manufacturer.

It’s more than that, however. Our employees embody the values that we try to emulate as a company, and the members of the Kinross family are five employees who prove it. Our employees’ determination and grit have built this company into what it is today: a business committed to producing the highest quality, most secure, and most fire resistant safes on the market, here on American soil.

We know that, as Kandy put it, “If you want it, you’ve got to work for it,” and with the help of employees like the Kinross family, each and every day we’re doing just that.

The Liberty Promise

At Liberty Safe, we’re serious about our lifetime guarantee. We’ve built our company around quality and innovation, and that includes holding our safes to some of the most rigorous fire-protection standards in the industry. When we say our safes offer certified fire protection, or that they specifically protect against pry and drill attacks, we mean it. We want to be the company offering the best home safe fire and theft protection in the world.

We’re proud of our product, and more importantly, we’re proud of our teams that make and sell them. Our safes aren’t just American made because they’re assembled on American soil—they’re American made because of the people who build them.
