How to Open and Overview of Securam BackLit Electronic Lock

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Liberty Safe! Your safe is equipped with an electronic safe lock called the SafeLogic BackLit. The information packet that was delivered with your safe has important information about your safe and the safe lock operation. Please review this information in conjunction with these instructional videos.

The SafeLogic BackLit has one user code, which is used to open the safe. The default user code is 1-2-3-4-5-6. This safe lock also has a change code, which is used to change the default user code to a unique user code. The change code is six zeros: 0-0-0-0-0-0.

The default user code of 1-2-3-4-5-6 should be changed to a unique six-digit code as soon as the safe is put into service. In order to open your safe simply enter the default user code of 1-2-3-4-5-6 and then turn the handle.

The SafeLogic BackLit has a backlit illuminated keypad. Pressing any number will light it up so that you can see to enter the numbers in the dark. You can also turn on the illumination as I did by pressing the light bulb button.

The next video in this series will show you how to change the default user code from 1-2-3-4-5-6 to a unique user code.
