updated from a dial to a digital. SecuRam TopLit. Love it
Bought a new USA 36 with the Toplit keypad. I too had a little difficulty with the battery compartment and getting the chrome cover off to access the battery. I ended up using some rubber shelf liner to be able to grip the trim ring better and that did the trick, the trim came off and I was able to access the battery. I noticed that reinstalling the trim cover, if I turned it 1/3 of a turn, it was easier to twist on the cover and then remove it easily. For some reason, at the factory, they must twist on the cover at random index and sometimes it sticks. I was able to find that by indexing the cover 1/3 of a turn, the cover twisted on just fine and solved the problem. Hope this helps somebody who has this same issue. Love the new safe!

I have the Securam Toplit Electronic Lock on my Liberty Centurion Deluxe 24. The lock works great but, as noted in another review, the 'twist off' collar on the lock can be difficult to turn when it's time to replace the battery. I attribute this to the collar sticking to the rubbery gasket around the back of the collar. What I do is work my thumbnail around the perimeter of the collar (between the collar and the gasket) to slightly separate the gasket from the outside of the collar. Then, while it can still stick a bit, the collar can be twisted counter-clockwise and removed more easily.
Came on my Liberty Centurion 24. Was easy to set my combination. No issues in the year or so I've had it. Some days I open it 5-6 times a day. Works every time. Haven't tested the lockout feature for failed combination entry.
